In 1968 The Beatles tried to make an adaptation of the Lord of the Rings but JRRTolkien denied them the rights. Now, 50 years later we asked our great illustrator Lisa to reimagine what that movie couldve looked like for our English Ale. Alt End#7 or The Fab 4 go to Mordor is ESB brewed w/all English malt & fermented w/London Ale yeast that was heavily hopped w/East Kent Golding. Its amber color reflects caramel malt on the palate&while the style Extra Special Bitter suggests an aggressive bitterness, the style is not as bitter as one would expect. It has floral notes that are brought to life w/our expressive house yeast.This is going to be a great taproom beer that might find its way into a cask next time we brew it, but for now, bring it home, build a fire outside and play some music. After all, all you need is love (and beer)
