At its core this is a Schwarzbier or Dark Lager, made from a mix of 7 grains to bring forward a silky smooth body with malty sweetness and a mix of complex roasted flavor. The subtle use of Chocolate malt and Blackprinz gives the beer its black color with subtle notes of chocolate. Munich and Carapils bring slight biscuit and sweetness. This is all smoothed out with the 2-Row and finally the rice brings a light sweetness and snap. The dark lager was then aged on whole decaf beans to produce incredibly smooth coffee flavors and a huge coffee aroma. In memory of STL ambassador Mike Arnold, AKA "GusGusFunBus".
