Пиво Frozen Pipes (2019) - Badlands Brewing Company

Since we opened there has been at least one instance every year where the water pipe to our brewery freezes. Whenever this happens, the next one-off beer we have in the queue gets the honour of being named Frozen Pipes. This Vic Secret/Amarillo hopped IPA gets that distinction in 2019. Last week it was -38C with the wind chill at night thanks to an unrelenting polar vortex (also the power went out, so bye bye heated piping) and wouldn't you know it, the next morning the water pipe had frozen! This beer presents big forward leaning notes of pineapple, tropical fruits and orangey citrus with hints of pine. Pleasing bitterness, and a robust, soft malt body make this beer a fittingly tropical reward for post-pipe defrosting.
