Bruges: Belgium’s most controversial icon. It’s elegant traditions are beautiful, yet boring – it’s this clash between the ancient and the modern that’s found at the heart of the movie “In Bruges,” our inspiration for the brew. The Alcoves is a strong, Belgian golden ale fermented with several strains of yeast. The hints of fruit in its aroma are deepened by the citrus notes from dry hopping with Citra and Mosaic. The soft bitterness and malt body cover over the proof for a clean, dry finish.
