The Denunziant, in English, the “Snitch.” All societies and ages have them. The Denunziant has played a prominent role in many phases of German history…to be fair, occasionally for good, but in most cases, bad. There’s even a German saying, that the Denunziant is the biggest rogue in all the land! Well, Corona Lockdowns have brought all of the Denunziant back out of the woodwork: “Do you all belong to the same household?” “It looks like your standing 1.48 meters apart instead of 1.5 meters.” We even had the police show up at our BrewPub, when one @$$hole…, I mean concerned citizen, called them to say that we had our bar open illegally. Of course, the police had no issue, when they found out it was just the brewery employees standing outside many meters apart during their lunch break having a beer. (You know, beer is kind of our profession!) Whatever your encounter with one of these rogues, it always leaves you surprisingly dazed with a bitter taste in your mouth. Well, that’s exactly what will happen when you drink our newest Double West Coast IPA, Denunziant. This concerned citizen has a deceptively smooth 8.8% alcohol with 80 IBU for a bitterness that we find builds up on you over time. Dry hopped two times with boatloads of Simcoe, Cascade, and Amarillo as well as touches of Centennial and Columbus to give a classic West Coast profile: Dank and piney with enough fruit to bring it all together.
