Пиво Rugiz - People Like Us, Bräugier Craftbier

Our first collaboration is a delicious Rye IPA with the fantastic mission-driven brewery, People Like Us, from Denmark. This German-Danish cooperation got us thinking about some shared roots, and helped us find the name for the beer. Rugiz is the proto-Germanic word for Rye from which the modern German (Roggen) and Danish (Rug) words for the grain are derived. The spicy rye flavor definitely comes through in this IPA, which complements the spicy, earthy, and citrus hoppiness from Perle, East Kent Goldings, and Citra.
