With New Zealand’s fearsome rugby team, the All Blacks, touring Europe right now, we thought it was the perfect time to celebrate another formidable Kiwi export...HOPS!! We used three of our favorite Kiwi Hops: Nelson Sauvin (40%), Moutere (40%), and Motueka (20%) for our all Kiwi Hop Hazy IPA. All of these hops are grown in their eponymous regions surrounding Tasman Bay. Besides hop farms, the Janie Seddon Shipwreck is one of Tasman Bay’s notable attractions. The vessel is over 100 years old and was used in both World Wars before a failed attempt at as a fishing trawler. Now the shipwreck resides just off the coast of Motueka. We could think of many worse final resting places. So grab this beer and celebrate New Zealand’s hop region no matter who you support in the rugby.
