Prototype Series 2014 Our annual prototype challenge sees us brew a series of new beers, and allows the public to choose which should feature alongside our headliner range. Speaking of future classics, our previous Prototype Challenges produced such heavyweights as Brixton Porter, Cocoa Psycho and Jackhammer. Alt Amber is a toasty, malty 5.3% ABV Northern German style altbier (which translates as old beer; a reference to the age of the style, not the beer itself). Alts predate lagers but share their malt-forward characteristics, and are cold-conditioned to give a clean smooth flavour.
