Full of dark malts and their qualities are beautifully prominent after half a year of ripening. The rich malty flavour contains hints of coffee and chocolate and a modest sweetness. A rich mix of hops was added for balance: Ahtanum, Equinox and Centennial, amongst others. They provide slightly bitter, fruity counterweight in this malty beer.
