This NW style sour ale started as a wheat beer barrel aged for seven months, then aged for an additional 2.5 months on more than 18 pounds wild and domestically tolerated blackberries harvested by the blenders in Sleepy Hollow, OR. Dusty, earthy notes of rich blackberries and pink peppercorn sweetness greet you in the nose. Dark, tart blackberries and dried cane fruit coat the palate, then transition to a complex ending of tart fruit, soft peppery notes and a subtle lingering dark, dry fruit finish.
