You find a brick courtyard cafe down the street from the iconic German-American Club to watch palm fronts move with the gentle force of the wind as you leaf through a book of José Martí poetry. You’re in Tampa’s Ybor City and what are you drinking? Cigar City Brewing’s Bock, what else? A Traditional German-style Lager brought to Tampa by German immigrants in the late 1800’s, the Bock style boasts a complex malt character that’s tempered by a cold maturation that dries the beer and imparts a lively carbonation, making it the perfect accompaniment to spicy food, a mild cigar and fine conversation. Our Cigar City Bock celebrates the influence of German immigrants on our fair city by combining 100% German-malted barley and German-grown hops with Tampa water. ¡Viva Ybor!
