Dis Legomenon refers to a word or form that occurs only twice in a body of work. For example, Herman Melville used the word “dexterity” exactly twice in his novel “Moby Dick”. This beer began as a Belgian-style tripel aged in tequila barrels, to which we blended in some American Gooseberry Sour Ale. We can safely say that this is only the second occurrence of a barrel-aged Belgian style tripel blended with an American Sour Ale to be found in our oeuvre.
