The humble plum is an underappreciated jewel of our vibrant countryside. This is its chance to shine, as part of our ongoing project showcasing beautiful British produce and the talented organic growers bringing us the spoils from our land.
These beers are designed to let the fruit do the talking, so we racked our elegant base foudre beer onto 500kg of Quetsche plums for a three-month maceration period, allowing this delicious, deep purple berry to release the full depth of its flavour.
Expect comforting tones of warm crumble, fresh from the oven, and sweet, sticky homemade jam, balanced by a bright and zippy acidity.
