Farm's Edge: Flying Dragon came about thanks to the foraging efforts of a local friend, who supplied us with local trifoliate oranges (yes! citrus grows here in central NC!). But this isn't an orange you'd eat on your own...it's rather sour. We supplemented the ornamental, bitter orange with sweet Florida kumquats and brewed a fruity saison with new, slightly tart yeast: "Sigmund's Voss Kveik." The result is a vibrant, citrusy, and refreshing saison...brewed with a curious fruit and a curious yeast. Appearance: hazy pale yellow body, light meringue head Aroma: orange blossom, light honey, kumquat, earthy Taste: citrus, orange peel, spicy yeast, pear Mouthfeel: dry and refreshing
