Jove’s Fire was fermented and aged in oak vessels, then conditioned on Castro Valley Persimmons. Jove’s Fire was the ancient Greek name for persimmons. After stealing fire from the gods, Prometheus was sentenced to an eternity of cruel torture and humans were damned to hard labor. This mixed fermentation ale is a rare instance where human toil manages to steal a modicum of pleasure back from the gods.
