We paid a visit to our friends at The Hopyard before brewing American Water with 100% Maine-grown, wet Cascade on the hot side, plucked off the bine in Gorham and bagged about an hour before hitting our hop steep. After fermentation, we dry-hopped with 100% high-oil Comet pellets grown at Crosby Hop Farm in Woodburn, Oregon. This wet-hopped IPA sings a bit of a different tune from our typical offerings, and offers a distinct mash-up of the soft, berry-forward profile of Maine-grown Cascade, and the oil-rich, dankly tangy Comets coming out of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Melon, blueberry, white peach, tobacco, and dragon fruit on a smooth malt base come through big time in this seasonal offering.
