It was 2:00am in a cold, dark, and rainy Binny’s parking lot on Black Friday 2015 when Joey, wide-eyed Wisconsin grad, met “brewperstar” Shaun Berns waiting in line for Bourbon County. Since that day, Joey landed a lab gig at Goose Island, Shaun has started his own brewery, and we’ve now come full circle in being able to collaborate together on a beer. Phase Contrast is a pillowy, juicy, hazy IPA utilizing a unique dry hopping method using Citra, Admiral, and Mapuche hops. This beer is the delicious product of two Bing Bongs and a brew kettle.
