Sherry Cask BA Golden Sour with Jostaberries We took our longest aged unfruited golden sour - Riddle of Steel and aged this in a number of oak casks with fruit. The first of these to be released was aged in a Palo Cortado sherry quarter cask. We then added just over 10kg of whole fresh Jostaberries directly into the barrel (200g/l), to referment and condition with this beer over the winter months. We sourced these berries from our local farmer, Euan at Pittormie Fruit Farms in Cupar, located seven miles from the brewery. Jostaberries are a cross between black gooseberries and blackcurrants and provide complex berry fruit characteristics of both varieties. Bottle conditioned. 144 bottles only.
