Deep Dark Secret is the latest in our staff series of beer. Our rockstar Taproom Manager, Corrina, is a huuuge fan of stouts. God bless her for choosing a non-adjunct stout....we're pretty excited to release this beer that's all about the grain and the flavors and nuance they can evoke without the use of any vanilla beans, cocoa nibs, etc. This beer is also nostalgic as it's roughly based on a recipe that was the first beer John and I brewed together over 10 years ago. It has a beautiful creaminess from being packaged with nitrogen, but the roasty flavors are still expressed very nicely in the beer. While being a strong beer at close to 10%, it finishes quite dry giving it a dangerously high drinkability.
