A beer to celebrate the apple. 5 varieties of apples from Denmark, and 5 from Estonia, treated in 10 different ways and aged in Calvados barrels. Taste: Smooth apple and light espresso notes lead followed by just a tang of crisp green apple skin acidity. Hints of wood smoke come in - like the last embers of a long-burnt smoke sauna — before fresh and vibrant red apples return. Gentle and warming calvados spirits round out the end, before leaving more of the chocolate apple notes promised in the aroma with a creamy, ice cream like finish. Appearance: Charcoal black with a brown head. Nose: Fairground caramelised toffee apple coated in milk chocolate on the nose, with burnt sugar and autumnal apple orchards as the beer warms. Malts: Pale malt, Munich malt, Carafa special type 2, Cara pale, Flaked oats, Cara 150, Chocolate malt, Peated malt, Red malt, Dark sugar, Lactose Hops: Magnum, Endeavour
