Here in North Carolina, we know a thing-or-two about smoke and spice—our barbecue can attest to that—and we wanted to explore those flavors in our beer as well. This malt-forward Brown Ale is brewed with an addition of local chipotle peppers from Smoking J’s Fiery Foods in Candler, NC, and a touch of local honey from Bee. Honey + Hive and which provide a slightly sweet and smoky flavor, balanced by a touch of heat from the peppers.
