Yuzu + Wheat Beer + Citrus

We have created two Bavarian inspired Wheat beers for release this Autumn, both with their own Wildly Different Characters. For east we have used the mighty Yuzu citrus fruit!

We have fermented East with a traditional Munich Hefeweizen yeast at a low temperature, to create a light creamy base. The magic ingredient is yuzu, the curious Japanese citrus fruit. Whilst on its own, yuzu is incredibly sharp so we have complimented the beer with both orange and lemons zests.
The fresh and zingy citrus character plays with the subtleness from the yeast, and the richness from the wheat to create a delightful balance to this beer.
