When we managed to secure barrels from Heaven Hill® Distillery's first entry in the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond series back in 2018, we decided to craft a batch of Medianoche specifically for these unique casks. To complement the extraordinary softness imparted by the wheated mash bill of the Old Fitzgerald bourbon, we used flaked wheat and flaked oats to further enhance the mouthfeel of the base beer. After aging for more than 18 months in these exceptionally rare and complex 11-year wheated bourbon casks, Old Fitz Medianoche is a distinctly expressive homage to one of our favorite bourbons.
