Пиво Unite Red Ale - Wheaty Brewing Corps

Spicy, malty, rich and full. Brew like a Girl. On March 8th this year the Wheaty Brewing Corps collaborated with more than 100 Breweries from around the World on an International Women’s Day brew; Unite Red Ale. Everyone brewed to the same specs as set-out by the Pink Boots Society - Red SRM, 50 IBUs, 4.6% abv, Willamette Hops - and came up with wildly varying beers. In the spirit of collaboration, we were joined on Brewday by Adelaide Roller Derby legends Bride of Skatan, Vaderella & DeBoate, who relished the opportunity to wield mash paddles and hydration collars for a cause. In terms of the IWCBD beer itself we played it pretty straight. In the quest for blood (Red) we enlisted New Zealand Micro-Malsters Gladfield and their fearsome specialties Redback, Shepherd’s Delight and Dark Crystal. To keep things fresh we spiced Unite with plenty of Southern Hemisphere Hops: Wakatu, Pacific Jade and Galaxy. As an exercise in restraint we fermented long and cool with Irish Ale yeast. The result: a balanced, fresh and full bodied Red, wearing sensible brews...If you can Brew nice, Brew Derby.
