New Lion Brewery

In 1926, after 75 years brewing, The Lion Brewery in the heart of Totnes ceased trading. At its peak, this successful brewery owned 26 pubs. In 2013, a passionate group of Totnesians brought history back to life with the launch of the New Lion Brewery, a business that once again crafts award-winning beers and boosts the local local economy and in 2019 New Lion Brewery became 100% community owned. We began with trial brews and we’ve now got a state-of-the-art brewery that can produce 45 barrels a week, in our new home at Webbers Yard, Dartington. In addition to our three core beers (Pandit, Taproom and Lager, Lager, Lager) we produce numerous regular limited edition brews.
