Velvet Owl Brewing Co.

The Velvet Owl Brewing Company is a small family-run business established in 2016 by Richie and his wife, Liz, named in honour of their daughter. VOBC was a 'cuckoo' brewing enterprise, working with the following breweries to produce their beers: Burton Town Brewery Lines Brew Co RT Ales In April 2018, the brewery found a permanent home in Caerphilly, Wales, with it's own tap room. ​ We love to experiment and our aim is to brew exceptional beer, placing emphasis on interesting and sometimes unusual flavour combinations. ​ Provenance is an important part of what we do. We only use the best quality ingredients, and make use of organic or Fairtrade produce wherever we can. ​ All of our beers are keg-conditioned, unfiltered, and unfined. This means that while some of our beers may have some natural haze, particularly our more hoppy beers, they are all of the highest standard. It also means that the majority of our beers are suitable for vegans, although we'll be sure to let you know if we include lactose, honey, or any other non-vegan ingredients in any of them.
