Olde Fashion Rye Where civilization is established Rye will follow. Early in it's cultivation rye was considered a weed of the wheat crops that maintained entire villages. When rye was discovered to be a nutritious and hardy grain it's growth became more exclusive. A hazy golden straw and eggshell white head parade our first Rye ale on to the scene with olde fashioned gusto. Holding true to it's historical character a pepper spice snap is presented with the first sips and continues throughout. Full and round in mouth feel a slight hint of bitter sweet orange pith smooths the rye and provides balance. A clean and very dry finish pronounces again the rye spice and hues of Curacao orange remain. Cheers!
