Dark Mode Imperial Milk Stout dispenses with the cloying, flabby taste and texture of so many mouth-saddening modern lactose bombs, and replaces them with an intense, balancing oak and bourbon profile. Lightly bitter chocolate, graham, marshmallow, and vanilla greet the nose before crashing upon the midpalate. A rush of hydrophobic tannin and alcohol tidy things up after each sip, where one can sip again, or savour the long, lumberous finish.
