Style: Belgian-Style Table Beer Brewer's Notes: This is our first beer brewed entirely with local malt, hops, yeast and water -- ingredients sourced no more than 228 miles from our brewery in Durham, NC. The beer's nose exhibits a pleasant honeyed, yeasty aroma, with highlights of spice and citrus from fresh wet Columbus hops. Durham 228 expresses a mild malt character coming from NC wheat, rye, and barley. Light, refreshing, and yet complex, this beer provides a quaffable foil to the other higher ABV beers being released for our anniversary. More importantly, the beer expresses a true taste of place: truly a beer from the beautiful South.
