Daedo Brewery is a new brewpub located on Kim Kwang Seok street, one of the most famous locations in Daegu. The original building was constructed as a makgeolli factory in 1953 and was named Daedo Yangjojang. (yangjojang is the Korean word for any building that produces alcoholic beverages) The makgeolli factory closed in 1997 and was left unattended for a long time, however in February, 2019, the building was renovated and reopened. We reused the name '대도양조장', but now instead of makgeolli we make craft beer. Our brewery has six 1000 liter (7BBL) fermentation tanks, used to make a variety of different beer. There are many people unfamiliar with craft beer in Daegu, so we have a range of beers on our tap list , from easy to drink styles, like traditional Munich style Helles, German Pilsner, as well as an American style IPA, an Imperial Stout, a Ginger lime sour beer(sours are a new trend in craft beer these days) and Pink Stout using the locally roasted coffee beans. The brewery has two floors of seating, as well as open air seats outside, and can serve up to 150 people at a time. We have fourteen different beers available on our tap lists, with twelve of the beers produced locally at the Daedo Brewery.
