From Jim Beam Straight Rye Whiskey barrels. The 1st year of Anastasiou Brewery was celebrated accordingly.Their Imperial Stout "Κραταιά" was matured in Rye Bourbon Barrels for some months now, and the final outcome was really, really good! Rich black color with beige head on the glass.Aroma was bourbon forward as expected, with some chocolate and vanilla notes on the back.Medium mouthfeel and carbonation.Tasting notes were: bourbon sweetness, with bitter chocolate notes, hints of vanilla and some wood in the aftertaste.The alcohol presence was balanced and not overwhelming.
