Nocturnal is a perennial favourite chez Badlands. We only brew it once a year (typically in early winter because we are impatient people) and it acts as a bridge between our need for roasty, luscious sweet beer in the more frigid months of the year, while also appeasing our unending desire for mouth watering hops. It's a happy marriage of dark malt comfort, and IPA hop presence. A delectable treat we look forward to every year. Hopped with a blend of Citra and Amarillo, we taste notes of dark chocolate, light coffee and roastiness with big notes of citrus, pine, stone fruit and papaya creeping through an appropriately soft and lusciously full body. Appropriately bittered to tie it all together.
