This pale ale was brewed in collaboration with our friends at the inimitable Cafe Beermoth. The aim of this beer was light bodied refreshment and subtle tropical flavour. The recipe has a high proportion of wheat which gives gentle cereal flavour and soft body and texture. We went with a mixture of UK, German and US hops. Saaz and UK Chinook during the boil for clean herbal aroma and pithy orange respectively. Strata in the whirlpool for sweeter orange and tropical fruit. Strata is a pretty interesting variety, it brings layers of sweet orange and lemon, deep, ripe tropical fruit and some peachy, apricot voibes.
