SLURP stands for Superior Lupulin Utilization Research Project… This RnD batch series is designed around a Hazy IPA base and utilizes the new yeast, Cosmic Punch. This yeast allows us to incorporate more Thiol compounds from hops giving grapefruit and passionfruit aromas to the brew. We tested a dramatically different brewing procedure that explores different methods of combining hops to bring out the complexities of the added Thiol compounds. SLURP Series: Vol I was dry-hopped with Mosaic and Lupomax hops which adds berry and tropical fruit undertones to the citrus-forward Hazy IPA.
