Snake in the Rye is a Blueberry mead with Cashews and Vanilla Beans, aged in Journeyman Rye barrels for roughly 2 years. Blueberry fruit leather up front with notes of tobacco, raisin, black pepper, and caraway all being contributed by the barrel. Flickers of vanilla meld with flavors imparted by the spirit. An ever present slickness contributed by the cashews in tandem with a toasted nut, slightly savory, finish. A medley of flavors that exchange from sip to sip.
