This Brown Ale is the brain child and recipe of brewers Matty Kemp and Marco Reyna. This is an English brown ale that wishes it was an American Brown ale. The alcohol content is considerably higher in this beer than traditional English brown ales. We used all English malts that were floor malted in the traditional English method including Maris Otter, crystal malt, amber malt and a little bit of chocolate malt. English hops; fuggle, east kent golding, and WGV, were used in large quantities unheard of in traditional English ales with a handful of warrior hops added for bittering. The caramel sweetness from the malts are well balanced with the bitterness and herbal tea-like aroma from the English hops to make for a very enjoyable strong brown ale.
