Collaboration beer brewed with Scofflaw Brewing Company out of Atlanta, GA that began as a mashup of Basement IPA from Scofflaw and Juicy Bits from WeldWerks. We started with some Low Colour Maris Otter from Simpsons for the base malt, then things got out of hand and we went a little wild with the hops. We used our very first hop resins in this batch, but instead of adding it to the boil like we were told, we added Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe and Chinook hop resins straight to the whirlpool. We also added Citra pellets and Mosaic cryo powder to the whirlpool, then dry hopped with a ton of Citra and Mosaic, resulting in a dank, resiny, yet still incredibly juicy Double IPA that celebrates the best of hoppy brewing from both breweries.
