This time long time North Bar Leeds staff legend Jim Thackray had the job of accompanying Matt on a mad mission up to Frazerburgh to brew a beer. They settled on a Belgian pale ale, plenty of hops went in but the idea was to produce a balanced easy drinking ale with a big Belgian yeast presence. This called for a bunch of Saaz hops and the magical aroma hop used in Punk IPA – Ahtanum! We made sure everything was in it’s right place for this beer and so that’s what we called it! It’s a lovely soft, fresh but still heady beer!
