This American-style Barley Wine takes its lead from the same era as the two beers above, but was given an added dimension through a 12-month ageing in Marsala barrels, taking it into the territory of an indulgent dessert wine. You’re drawn in by deep flavours of honey, raisin and toffee, followed by candied papaya and sweet white grape. Vinous notes develop further in the finish and become almost sherry-like, supported by a backbone of toffee and digestive biscuits.
