3rd in the Cask Session Series 2017 - XPA. This is Head brewer Matt Clarke's take on the style XPA/extra pale ale which refers to the use of low colour malts creating a really clean pale base beer, the perfect platform to showcase the hops. A small amount of malted oats lend a nice mouthfeel and more palate fullness to the beer. It's hopped with a combination of Citra and Jester. Jester is the UK variety that exhibits big fruit flavours akin to the Americans and has come from the Charles Faram hop breeding programme. Malts: Low colour Maris Otter and malted oats Hops : Jester (UK) Citra (USA) Aroma: Tropical fruits Flavour: Citrus and slight herbal notes from the Jester
