​This recipe was created using all-Colorado craft malts to celebrate the 5th anniversary of our friends at Root Shoot Malting. At their request, we added both Root Shoot and Troubadour Maltings' malts to create a NoCO twist on a traditional Schwarzbier. Dark in color and with nuanced notes of roast and caramel, this beer is clean and light-bodied. It features Root Shoot's Pilsner malt and Troubadour's Moonlight Antero malt and showcases what the terroir of NoCO adds to delicious craft beer. Today we are pouring one of two kegs made of this beer -- the first was imbibed at Root Shoot's Anniversary Field Day. ​4.4%
