A couple back we got a few Islay barrels from Speyside cooperage. These barrels had a colossal aroma of moss with some earthy notes,a beautiful blend of earth and sea ! The only beer that could withstand such a storm was a thick & roasty imperial stout. After almost two years of aging, it transformed into a velvety, smooth thick monster which remarkably balances its intense elements ! Earth, water, air and fire randomly combined in every sip !
