The wizard brewers of Lagunitas invented a brand-spankin’-new style of IPA just for IPA Day–the Free Ride Day Trip IPA! First, they took a mega IPA base and hop-dipped it (or pre-soaked the hops like tea to remove the scratchiness) with Simcoe & Citra. Then, it was fermented with a special, fruit-forward sparkling wine yeast, Viva, without any of the cooling control (AKA Free Rise-style). Finally, we dry-hopped Dip Trip with the über-pineapple-y Sultana, Nectaron & Bru-1 hops. It’s an über-hazy, deliciously fruity and tropical ride!
