Old Timey Root Beer is our Orange Blossom Mead aged in a Rum Barrel with spices added. Crafted from an old school Root Beer recipe, this one contains 8 difference spices to bring forward a more classic profile. Different from your mainstream soda flavors, this batch brings the vanilla into the equation at a slightly higher rate, leading to a hybrid of Root Beer meets Cream Soda.

With Licorice Root and Cherry Bark providing more tannin, the Rum Barrel comes over the top alongside ginger to give a little bite. While ready to drink fresh from the bottle, time in open air leads to a more pronounced brown sugar/caramel note while allowing for further integration of the medley of spices.
