A peated buckwheat porter brewed with buckwheat honey and aged in both bourbon barrels, and Scotch whisky hogsheads from the Islands.
Taste: Sherry and red fruits mingle with the spiciness of buckwheat before giving way to a touch of earthy bitterness and gently lingering peated malts. Hints of burnt toffee comes back with more iodine and sea salt, all finishing on a pleasant chocolate oak character mixed with charred oak.
Appearance: Pitch black with a reddish tint and a brown-beige head.
Nose: Rich peat smoke and sea salt, creamy fudge, and the distinctive character of toasted rye and spicy buckwheat.
