Sour beer? Of course, it’s been brewed for centuries. River Gose is a tad salty and that makes the Gose beer salty, too. Northern Mediterranean doesn’t have salt mines. It does, however, have Sečovlje salt fields and especially nice smelling junipers, growing on the limestone floor of the Karst Plateau. We brewed a gently sour, fresh beer, nicely complemented by the Karst juniper berries and the Mediterranean salt. Cum grano salis.
