Over a year ago we announced our cocktail-inspired barrel-aged series and waited anxiously for 14 months. We finally debut our 1st release from the series this Cinco de Mayo: This gose was brewed with Sea Salt from La Laguna de Cuyutlán, carefully harvested from the ancient salt beds of Colima once used by the Aztecs over 500 years ago. We barrel aged this gose for over 12 months in tequila barrels that were once used for aging fine bourbon. After aging, we conditioned the gose on fresh Mexican strawberries & key lime and topped it off with triple sec and agave nectar for good measure. Strawberry, tequila, barrel on the nose. Tart & sweet strawberry & key lime on the way in, which plays well with the tequila undertone and light salinity that mimics a salted rim. Dry & oaky finish.
