This is Stone’s yearly Christmas-season Mexican hot chocolate stout, featuring coffee, pasilla peppers, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a generous amount of house-made chocolate. Such a jam-packed stout well deserves the East Kent Golding and English Challenger hops for balance. This 2018 special edition variation was crafted at the Berlin brewery, were it was aged for 6 months on bourbon soaked oak chips for an additional layer of warmth and complexity.
