Tanker anniversary beer. This time it is our batch no 600. Rye Double IPA. Bronze-orange hazy with a spongy head, olily and thick. Nose is caramel, orange, dried apricots, spicy bread and a touch of woody hop and pine. Nose is caramel, orange, dried apricots, spicy bread and a touch of woody hop and pine. Flavor has notes of moderately sweet malt with a mix of caramel, bread and spicy rye, citrusy hops, some fresh pine needle/grass quality, fading to a slightly dry and moderately bitter finish with a solid resin kick and more prominent peppery sweet rye and citrusy notes. Lightly sweet.
