Ritterguts Gose

The old Ritterguts Gose brewery was founded in 1824, when Johann Philipp Ledermann brought the original recipe from Goslar to Döllnitz, and it soon became the most famous Gose producer for Leipzig and the whole region. After the expropriation of the brewery in 1945, Gose was an almost extinct beer style. The new start was made in 1999. Since then, Gose has successfully re-established itself in Leipzig, as well as in Germany and many countries around the world. In 2016, we started to develop new, seasonal sour beer creations. We brew our beers exclusively at Bergt Brauerei Reichenbrand.
